21.09.07    Premium Phone Services Ltd Moves On Comment  More>>

Over the last few days clients have advised us that Premium Phone Services Ltd (other trading names PPS Ltd, Telephone Riches) is no longer taking on any new clients and is wrapping up a lot of its pyschic, adult and other 09 premium rate services.

It’s beleived that Telephone Riches / Premium Phone Services Ltd is open and happy for it’s clients to transfer their numbers to other Premium Rate Service Providers so if you’re a current PPS client and would like to continue to profit from premium rate then please contact Phonenumbers4u on: 0871 918 0604 to save your number and future revenue.

In reference to a letter received it’s beleived that lines are due for disconnection within the next 45 -60 days so if you want to continue to profit from premium rate you must act NOW to avoid any loss of revenue or disruption on your service. Call: 0871 918 0604

04.09.07    0844 Numbers to Take Over 0870 Numbers Comment  More>>

With new legislation coming out in early 2008 regarding revenue share on 0870 numbers stopping not only for owners of 0870 numbers but also Service Providers and Network Operators it’s looking even more than likely now that owners of 0870 numbering will instead of receiving money from their calls have to PAYOUT to receive them. Making the whole concept of the national rate number meaninless.

Therefore it’s seen more than likely that owners will migrate to the cheaper & local rate 0844 number or opt for the 0871 national rate number which can run on 6p - 10p per minute, as companies make their move to avoid the charges. With some big names like Talk Sport Radio changing from an 0870 to an 0871 number along with many others following suit it’s looking like everyones phone book is going to change a lot over the next 6 months.

21.08.07    070 Phone Numbers to Have Cost Per Minute Disclaimer Comment  More>>

It’s official as of September 2007 all 070 phone numbers including those on K rate and PN2 Rate will have per minute disclaimers played by the network the caller uses to ring the service. This move is believed to elimainate scams where fraudsters use the numbers to trick the public into callers to phone the number and be billed anything up to 50p per minute.

It is also expected to eliminate 070 number owners who lie about the price of calling the number. Phonenumbers4u once heard a lady who was telling callers that calls to her number cost 2p - 5p per minute to ring where it actually cost 50p per minute!

With this move as the cost is disclaimed at the networks end e.g. if you call from a 02 mobile phone then they’ll notify of the cost to call likewise if you call from a Virgin Media or BT phone then they will let you know what the cost is rather than the owner of the premium number.

It’s my hope that this is a move closer to having calls disclaimed at the networks end for ALL premium rate calls as some rougue users often lie about the cost to call the 090 number.
